We hear University of Arkansas System officials will meet today to select David Pryor‘s successor as dean of the Clinton School of Public Service.
There is a persistent rumor about one local Clintonite who is the favorite for the job.
Since Pryor announced he would step down, Clinton School administrators have discussed the need for a high-profile dean who can put the institution on a firm footing by being an effective ambassador and fundraiser over the next several years. That person wouldn’t necessarily have to be an academic, because an associate dean could be appointed to handle the day-to-day administration of the school.
