Now that there are some actual daylight evening hours to relish and a hopefully-forever-lull in the pandemic’s ravages, you’re going to need to dust off that calendar, get dolled up for a show and go give some love (and by love, we mean money) to your local venues and performers. A few suggestions:

First, might I suggest you stop by Abbi’s Teas & Things on its last weekend in its cozy Hillcrest location? Owner Abbi Siler has built a devoted following to all things tea at her shop at 2622 Kavanaugh Blvd., and though she’s not calling it quits by any means, she is taking a pause from the brick-and-mortar side of things until she finds a new location. Now’s your time to stop in and stock up; until her new shop’s doors open, we’ll be buying online and daydreaming about tea with the help of the tea shop’s fabulous TikTok montages. A schedule of farewell events from the business’s Facebook page:

Whatever was in the water at the Shreve household is what we have to thank for The Brothers Shreve, siblings and soloists-turned-duo Randall and Benjamin del Schreve, performing together Saturday night at Stickyz.

Even closer on the Stickyz calendar: the inimitable Elizabeth Cook, Nashville rocker and Sirius XM radio personality extraordinaire. She’s at Stickyz Thursday, March 17 for a St. Patrick’s Day show; bottoms up.

Over at the White Water Tavern, Adia Victoria and Joshua Asante are teaming up for what’s gonna be a hell of a show. We’ve written more on that here.
