If you’ve never taken in a show at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre’s “small box” of its Second Stage, on the second mezzanine level, “The Retreat From Moscow” would be a nice first show to see there. William Nicholson’s play made Broadway in 03-04, and the intimacy of the small box will be perfect for the three-person show, about a small family one day coming apart after three decades of “togetherness.” Showtime tonight is 8 p.m., and all seats (festival seating, a fancier word for general admission) is $20. Call 378-0405 to secure a spot.
The talented Big Cats make one of the rare reunions again (what, three shows in less than FOUR months?) with a show at Vino’s Brewpub tonight, our music choice for Friday. The heralded Fayetteville band The Good Fear is on board as well, with the show starting at 8:30 p.m.
Watch later for Amy Brawner’s Gettin’ Out for the full rundown of music tonight.
