Meet the MDs redefining health at the Cannabis & Wellness Expo
Dr. Thomas Tvedten
The Healing Clinic is family-owned and operated, with two locations, one in Little Rock and the other in Heber Springs. Dr. Thomas Tvedten has been a physician for over 45 years in emergency room, labor and delivery, family practice, and family planning. He has been certifying patients for medical marijuana since opening the Heber Springs Cannabis Clinic in 2019. His level of caring and empathy stems partially from his own battle with cancer. The basis for the founding of THC Little Rock came in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the right to safe and legal abortion in the state of Arkansas in June of 2022. The profits of The Healing Clinic Little Rock help fund The Y.O.U. Center, an all-options pregnancy crisis center that provides free services to women in need of healthcare that can now only be provided out of state.
Dr. Lee Nayles
Nayles Medical Center is a family practice clinic located near downtown Little Rock. Dr. Lee Nayles has provided quality medical care in Arkansas for over 25 years. Before that, he practiced pharmacy for 12 years. Dr. Lee Nayles received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He received his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University. His internship was at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, and the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Willard Howard
In an industry where people can get lost in the shuffle, treated like another number, or have their concerns dismissed, Dr. Willard Howard is a breath of fresh air! His compassionate demeanor and vast medical experience have garnered him a loyal following of patients. With nearly 30 years in medicine, Dr. Howard has practiced in the ER, urgent care, and family medicine settings, with a more recent transition into aesthetics. His new spa, Glo*tologi Med Spa, is already becoming a much sought-after destination.
Dr. Howard also serves his community by educating others on the benefits of medical marijuana. He understands the stressors in life, whether physical or emotional, can be significantly eased through its use.
Dr. Brian Nichol
Dr. Brian Nichol is a board-certified anesthesiologist practicing chronic pain management in North Little Rock. The medical use of cannabis has been an interest of his since noticing the improved quality of life his patients were experiencing when self-medicating with cannabis. For more than two decades, he has advocated for and guided patients on the successful and effective medical use of cannabis. The legalization of hemp and then medical cannabis in Arkansas has brought medically guided cannabis treatment to the next level by being able to recommend cannabis preparations, dosing, and administration schedules for more optimal results in an individual. He is a consultant to the industry and Medical Director for HypnosVR Vortex Clinical Terpene Inhalation systems. Nichol continues to advocate for medical cannabis patients, providing patient education through personal appearances and his work on social media and radio as CannabisExpertMD.
