If the “Movies in the Park” trend for 2006 holds up, it’s going to rain tomorrow. The regularly scheduled dates of the first two “Movies in the Park” have had to be pushed back another week because of inclement weather. Ned’s even been forecasting a change in this ridiculous heat-wave-in-April thing we’ve got going, but no rain.
Anyway, if it doesn’t rain, and as we say, it’s not supposed to, then meet us all at “Movies in the Park” on Wednesday, April 19, where the feature will be the comedy “About a Boy,” starring Hugh Grant and the lovely and Oscar-winning Rachel Weisz. Enjoyable family fare, based on Nick Hornsby’s best-selling novel of the same title.
It’s free. Bring everything you need to enjoy a movie in the outdoors at Riverfest Amphitheatre, with the exception of glass containers. Beverages will be available for purchase if you don’t bring your own.
The next film is May 3, “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” For more information on “Movies in the Park,” check out the website or call 373-1111.
