Just a day shy of its 40th birthday, “Purple Rain” will show at Ron Robinson Theater, and the Prince-fronted rock musical isn’t the only anniversary screening the Central Arkansas Library System is putting on in July.
Cult favorite “The Mummy,” which turned 25 in May, and ant monster flick “Them!,” now 70 years old, are also among the list of films playing at the CALS venue this month — a lineup that overall leans in the horror/thriller direction.
All screenings begin at 7 p.m. and cost $5, except “Sunflowers,” which starts at 4 p.m. and costs $10 and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which starts at 8 p.m. and costs $8. Tickets can be purchased here, and beer, wine and concessions will be sold on site. A full list of the July offerings:
