Arkansans will be among the hardest hit by President Trump’s attempts to strong-arm foreign leaders through economic manipulation.
Letters
Open letters to Governor Hutchinson and Education Commissioner Johnny Key
My name is Laura Comstock. I grew up in Mountain Home, then moved to Conway and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2007. Since then, I’ve worked in the Little Rock School District at Chicot Elementary.
Good stories
I frequently disagree with the extremes of your politics. I do usually enjoy your columnists’ positions if for no other reason than simply to read another opinion on an issue. Further, I am often impressed with the width and breath of some of your investigative articles.
Not violent
I truly appreciate your paper’s coverage of the mental health [coverage] cuts and the recent rally to protest them (“Mental health cuts stir controversy,” Oct. 4).
Anything but Fox
Last week I spent the better part of two hours in a waiting room at the VA hospital here in Little Rock.
McCain, and money better spent elsewhere
I had hoped to refrain from criticizing Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) until after his corpse was delivered to the landfill, but, for all of your blathering about how wonderful the recently departed McCain was, you’ve seriously missed McCain’s greatest legacy: President Trump.
Jesus and politics
I’m not claiming Jesus would be a Democrat if he lived in present-day America, but would he support the GOP?
Vote, people
People under 30 are not voting in large numbers. I’ve heard some different reasons for this: They don’t feel it will make a difference.
Master Card
How about a new law? If you want to join a white supremacist organization, you have to take one of those complex DNA tests first. That would cut way down on the membership.
Hill should protest investigation
Second District Congressman French Hill should not go along with the move to impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
