Jackson Cookie Company originated in North Little Rock in 1933, producing a variety of cookies, including chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate fudge, Jackson Jumbles and vanilla wafers. Before its plant in the city closed in January 2004, the sweet scents would permeate the downtown area. But those crispy cookies are disappearing from store shelves for good.
