The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts has announced an exciting slew of inaugural programming and classes to follow its reopening on Saturday, April 22.
You can find a comprehensive list here, but some of the most enticing offerings include a children’s stage production of Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” on May 8-28; a performance by social justice-minded folk singer Iris DeMent (who spent her wee years in Paragould) on May 25; an artist talk with Dario Robleto, Alison Elizabeth Taylor and LaToya M. Hobbs (who we recently interviewed about her epic woodcuts) on June 1; Delta Voices, a conversation between curators and artists from across the Mid-South region, on July 13; and Arkansas Cinema Society‘s Filmland festival (known for screening award-winning movies and facilitating brushes with famous actors and influential directors) on Oct. 4-8.
Class reservations and ticket sales open today at noon.
