Arkansas Tech University art professor Neal K. Harrington won the ACANSA Arts Festival poster competition with his linoleum cut and watercolor work, “Southern Comfort.”
Harrington’s toned it down for the festival art (the image is of a riverside picnic basket rather than the stoveside celebration in his Arkansas Arts Center Delta Award-winning “Snake Shaker’s Shack”), which will be incorporated into ACANSA promotional materials. He was awarded $1,000 for the winning work. I already want the poster.
The festival will be held next year — Sept. 19-27, 2014 — at venues in downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock and will feature performing and visual arts.
