Does your Tuesday afternoon need a lil’ dose of crushingly heavy guitars, crashing drums and inhuman shrieking? Well how’s about some Body? Fer free.
Right over yonder at Vice, they’ve got a stream of the first album from erstwhile Arkies Chip King and Lee Buford, a.k.a. The Body, along with a handy guide written by one or both of them dudes that sort of explains the making of the record and other stuff. Speaking of that first album, it was out of print for a sec, but it’s available again, so you can get a legit copy.
Best quote, which describes “(),” which is the first song: “The beginning of the end. We should’ve just not recorded ever and led normal lives so we wouldn’t have to endure being called boring fat losers by Internet ding dongs. Nothing says potential mate to would be suitors as having your biggest accomplishment being laughed at by Prince Paul in a Scion video.”
Also, the dudes made a mixtape. You can check it out over on CVLT Nation.
