It’s that time again – time to ditch the keys and grab your helmet for National Bike to Work Day this Friday!

Kicking off Metroplan’s Ozone Action Days is National Bike to Work Day! This national event is a great way to get outside, get some exercise and reduce levels of bad ozone in Central Arkansas. Each summer, the Ozone Action Days program educates Central Arkansas residents on the impact of ground-level ozone and encourages residents to shift towards greener and more sustainable transportation modes like walking, biking, carpooling or using public transit.

This year, we’ve partnered with avid cyclist Arkansas First Gentleman Bryan Sanders, Pulaski County Judge Barry Hyde and Arkansas Heart Hospital CEO Bruce Murphy to spread the word! On Friday, May 17, they’ll lead a ride to show the ease of biking around downtown Little Rock.

Not downtown? No worries! Multiple trail systems are currently accessible, and many more are in the works on the Central Arkansas Regional Greenways system. The updates to the greenway system will ensure that commuting to work is a breeze.

Join us as we celebrate Bike to Work Day on May 17! Start your day the fun and healthy way – it’s as easy as riding a bike!
