David’s Burgers reopened its downtown Little Rock outpost in the River Market’s food court on Tuesday after closing for the month of December.

The original announcement about the temporary closure was posted on David’s River Market Facebook page Dec. 4. The post didn’t give a reason for the shutdown, but Brian Oaks, senior vice president of the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau — the organization that manages the River Market — said in a December email that he’d spoken with David’s owner, David Alan Bubbus Jr., who said the restaurant was only closing temporarily due to staffing shortages and that employees from Ottenheimer Hall had been moved to other stores.

David’s has 10 locations in Central Arkansas according to its website. The River Market branch opened in 2016 and serves lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m Mon.-Fri. and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat.
