Recently, we held another food hack competition, taking another childhood classic, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and tried to turn it on its head, creating something entirely new and unique. Again, the results were pretty awesome. The rules were simple: Use a whole box of mac and cheese, both noodles and cheese powder, and turn it into any sinister monstrosity imaginable. We had a vote via the Eat Arkansas Facebook page to crown a winner. Here’s what was submitted:

I’m not particularly fond of most chain restaurants. There are plenty of reasons to eat at locally owned restaurants, but perhaps most importantly, the food is generally better. But you know that not all chains are created equal. Arkansas sometimes seems to be a hotbed for mundane, unappealing chain restaurants…and in many ways, it probably is. A look inside Arkansas Alehouse
Eager to give fans of their product a place to sit together, drink, and have a bite of food, the folks behind Diamond Bear Brewing Co. have brought their brewpub restaurant, Arkansas Alehouse, to North Little Rock. It’s only a few weeks into being fully operational, but the restaurant off Broadway St. already seems to be drawing quite a crowd.
