Cannibal & Craft, the River Market cocktail lounge and nightclub located at 307 President Clinton Ave., announced on Tuesday that it is permanently closing on Wednesday, May 31.

Danny W. Brown, owner of Willy D’s Rock & Roll Piano Bar, was part owner of the River Market’s Cannibal & Craft, which opened in the fall of 2020. The original owners of Willy D’s, brothers William and Don Ray, opened a Fayetteville location of Cannibal & Craft at 212 W. Dickson St. in 2015.

Cannibal & Craft is the third restaurant/music venue to recently close shortly after opening in the River Market. The Library Kitchen + Lounge, located in the former Gusano’s at 313 President Clinton Ave., opened in January of 2020 and closed in November of 2022. We weren’t aware until KARK-TV, 4 reported that Charlee’s Good Time Drinkery, located in the former Damgoode Pies at 500 President Clinton Ave., also recently closed. Charlee’s relocated from the Prospect Building on University Avenue to the River Market spot in early 2022.

Here’s Cannibal & Craft’s Facebook announcement.
