The New York Times looks southward with a story about the mad sprint to collect the signatures needed to put the Arkansas Abortion Amendment on the ballot.

Reporter Emily Cochrane drove across Arkansas for a story about the steep hill volunteers are climbing to make abortion care accessible again.

Arkansans for Limited Government, the group hustling to get the 90,704 signatures required to make the ballot, said Monday that they need about 10,000 more people to sign by the Friday deadline.
